Industry Leading Real Estate Listing Presentation App
From acquisition to industry leader in a year - a story of how we helped transform dashCMA into a modern real estate presentation platform now used by 250K+ agents.
Case Study

Overview
From acquisition to industry recognition in under a year - this is the story of how Danubio partnered with Inside Real Estate (IRE) to evolve dashCMA into CORE Present: a robust, intuitive, and deeply integrated presentation platform for real estate professionals across the US.
In this case study, you’ll see how we reimagined the product from the ground up, built for national scale, and delivered an award-winning experience used by over 250,000 agents and brokerages across the US.
The Vision
In 2020, Inside Real Estate acquired dashCMA, a visual pricing tool, with a much broader vision: to turn it into a full-spectrum presentation platform that could support the workflows of real estate professionals nationwide.
The goal was to build CORE Present, a comprehensive tool integrated into an existing CRM solution that empowered agents to create stunning, branded presentations, including pricing CMAs, buyer tours, and fully custom slides, and deliver them digitally, interactively, or via print.
The new app wouldn’t just help agents tell the pricing story. It would help them tell the whole story, tailored to each client, fully branded, and insight-rich.
Market Context
In a rapidly evolving PropTech landscape, agents were demanding more flexible, modern tools. Traditional CMA tools were static and impersonal. Presentation-building was either manual or dependent on outdated systems and branding consistency across large brokerages was nearly impossible.
The app aimed to meet this gap with a simple promise: powerful data and dynamic presentations, personalized to every agent and client, all inside the wider existing ecosystem.
Its target users: agents, teams, and brokerages who needed speed, polish, and flexibility in their presentations to win more listings and guide clients with confidence.
The Challenge
Building the app presented a range of complex challenges. The following were the key challenges that stood out:
-
Platform Integration
-
The new app needed to become part of the existing CRM platform. From billing and authentication, to dashboard presence and user hierarchy.
-
Switching from regional MLS data to the client’s centralized listing data required rebuilding ingestion pipelines and integrating with existing internal systems.
-
The new app had to work from day one for tens of thousands of users, across varied devices, bandwidth, and presentation formats.
-
-
Flexible, Real-Time, Branded Content at Scale
-
The system had to support hundreds of slide types (prebuilt and custom), maintain full brand compliance across thousands of accounts, and deliver both web and PDF outputs with consistent quality.
-
Brand inheritance had to be implemented across brokerages, offices, teams, and agents, all with proper fallbacks and overrides. Each layer could define brand colors, fonts, and logos.
-
Shared presentations needed analytics: slide views, time on page, and interactions. That data had to be tracked, stored, and surfaced back to the agent in real time.
-
The Solution
Danubio was responsible for the full-cycle development of the application, driving it from initial concept through launch.
This meant taking charge of product definition, a complete UI/UX overhaul, extensive feature expansion, and heavy technical integration within the existing ecosystem.
-
UI/UX Overhaul
-
Danubio led a complete redesign of the dashCMA interface to fit the broader mission. The team created a modern, intuitive UI that could handle complex data yet remain “user-friendly” and not overwhelming.
-
-
Comprehensive Slide Library
-
Agents could now select from hundreds of pre-built slides (or create their own from scratch) to tailor a presentation to a client’s needs – whether that was a pricing CMA, a marketing plan, neighborhood stats, or a tour of homes for sale.
-
We also enabled fully custom slides so users could inject personal content, such as their own pages with custom text, images, charts, and even embedded video, making the app a flexible presentation-builder rather than a rigid template.
-
Dual-format outputs (web & PDF). We implemented scalable PDF rendering to ensure high fidelity regardless of content size.
-
-
Branding Engine
-
We drove an architecture redesign to accommodate brand inheritance across multiple levels – company, office, team, and individual agent.
-
This was crucial for enterprise adoption: a brokerage could set default templates, logos, fonts, and color schemes for all its agents, while still allowing teams or agents to personalize several elements.
-
As a result, we could enforce branding consistency for big clients and still empower individual creativity. This level of inheritance and configurability became a selling point in enterprise deals.
-
-
User Behavior Tracking & Analytics
-
A hallmark of the app is its ability to track client engagement with presentations.
-
We built an analytics subsystem that records how long a client views each slide, what they click on, and what they interact with when a presentation link is shared.
-
This data is fed back to the agent in the form of notifications and reports. For example, an agent gets an alert when a client opens the presentation, and later can see a “heat map” of what content the client spent time on.
-
This was something novel in the industry – as Inman News noted, the new app turned a traditional presentation into a “unique, data-enriched coaching tool” for agents, effectively transcending the typical CMA category.
-
-
Billing, Data and Account Integration
-
We transitioned from third-party feeds to client's internal listing data systems. This provided full MLS coverage.
-
We worked with the client's in-house team to embed the new app directly in the parent CRM system: single sign-on, enterprise billing, lead linking, and CRM tie-ins.
-
Our team coordinated the migration of thousands of users into the client's existing account system, merging login credentials with existing accounts.
-
This behind-the-scenes work ensured that from a user’s perspective, the new app simply “appeared” as a new module in their existing suite, with no separate login or payment hassle.
-
The Result
Launching the app was a major milestone for the client and a testament to Danubio’s leadership in product development. Within a year of dashCMA’s acquisition, CORE Present went live and quickly began to make waves in the industry. The outcomes of this project have been remarkable:
-
Fast-Track Launch
-
The app was delivered to market in less than one year after the acquisition of dashCMA. This rapid turnaround – from initial concept to a production-ready, enterprise-grade product – showcased Danubio’s ability to execute quickly.
-
Hitting the ambitious launch timeline was crucial to capitalize on market needs, especially as demand for digital presentation tools surged in and after 2021.
-
The Spring 2021 release meant our client could immediately offer it to their customers as an add-on, generating new revenue streams quickly.
-
-
Industry Accolades
-
The app earned widespread acclaim, most notably a perfect 5-star rating from Inman News – an honor that is “elusive” and almost unheard of for real estate tech products.
-
Inman’s tech review praised it as “a unique, data-enriched coaching tool that transcends the software’s own category”, underscoring how it was not just another CMA tool but a new breed of product. They highlighted its exceptional flexibility, powerful data, and superior UX.
-
For us, the perfect rating was a gratifying recognition of our hard work and a sign that we hit the mark.
-
-
Mass Adoption
-
Since launch, the app has achieved significant adoption. It is now used by over 350,000 real estate professionals, and has facilitated the creation of 1M+ client presentations to date.
-
-
Competitive Differentiator
-
The new app has become a key differentiator for our client in winning new brokerage deals. In the fiercely competitive real estate tech market, having a unique offering like this gave our clients an edge.
-
For example, in 2022, industry giant RE/MAX selected our client as a tech partner, rolling out their CRM and the app we built to over 50,000 agents. The inclusion of CORE Present (with its 5-star reputation) was a highlighted factor.
-
